Overview

sh4rk's Editing Pack 2 is a large asset pack for DaVinci Resolve with 217 macros, 1,000 overlays, 433 self recorded SFX, and 1,592 textures. It works on the free version of DaVinci Resolve as well as Studio; a free edition includes a subset (100+ macros, 1,000+ overlays, 30+ SFX, 150+ textures). Effects use name prefixes to show their use case: fx_ for effects, bck_ for backgrounds, and txt_ for text effects. Some effects require a background or an alpha channel to work correctly. Fusion tools appear in the Shift + Space search tool list rather than the standard Effects panel. Developed by sh4rk.

Notes

Using it

For shakes to work, your clip must start at frame 0; if it starts later, apply the shake to an adjustment clip and position it as needed. WinRAR is recommended for extraction because standard unzip tools can miss folders. The required fonts are included in the pack and must be installed manually.

Moving from free to paid

If you build a project using the free version and later upgrade to the paid version, in most cases you will need to redo that work in the paid version.

If something goes wrong

If it does not show up after installing, double check the installation method and try the manual installation steps. If it still does not appear, contact sh4rk on Discord or by email.

Frequently asked questions

The installer was removed to ensure better stability. All assets are now installed manually by moving folders into DaVinci Resolve’s Macros directory and running the .drfx file for Edit Page effects.

Ensure you installed the .drfx file and manually moved the 'sh4rk's EP2' folder into the correct Macros folder. Then, open Fusion and press Shift + Space to refresh the tool list.

This happens if you are on the template tab on the Fusion page, which is a known DaVinci Resolve bug. To add the effects, open the Fusion page and press Shift + Space to search for the effect by name. All effects feature the sh4rk logo or a distinct icon.

Extraction errors can occur with default software. Please download all ZIP files and use WinRAR to extract the package correctly.

Your Macros folder may be in a different location or hasn't been created yet. You can create it manually at: AppData/Roaming/Blackmagic Design/DaVinci Resolve/Support/Fusion/Macros

Open the Fusion page and press Shift + Space. Note that Fusion tools appear in the search tool list rather than the standard Effects panel.

Your clip must start at frame 0 for shakes to function properly. If your clip starts later, apply the shake to an adjustment clip and position it as needed.

This usually means not all ZIP files were extracted. Ensure all parts are downloaded and extracted using WinRAR.

While not strictly required, WinRAR is highly recommended to avoid missing folders or corruption, as standard Windows unzip tools can sometimes split the pack incorrectly.

Yes, the pack is compatible with multiple devices. While folder paths may differ slightly across systems, the installation process remains the same.

The required fonts are included in the pack. Install them manually by double clicking each file or selecting all and choosing 'Install'.

Yes. As long as the assets appear correctly in Resolve, you can delete the ZIP files and extracted folders to save space.

Each effect has a specific purpose. Some require a background, others an alpha channel. Use the prefixes (fx_, bck_, txt_) to understand their use case, and ensure all nodes are connected correctly.

That is sh4rk's Editing Pack 2.
