QuickCam is a keyframeless 3D camera animation plugin for DaVinci Resolve.

How it works
QuickCam animates with a 2 point system. You set an In value and an Out value, and the plugin animates between them. There are no keyframes to place: you describe where the move starts and where it ends, and it fills in everything between.
That makes going from A to B trivial and going from A to B to C hard, because there are only 2 states to describe. What you can do is go from A to B and back to A, using the built in spline editor to change, reverse and reshape the path between the 2 values.
A zoom that pushes in and then pulls back out is the clearest example. Set the spline to start at 0, rise to 1 in the middle, and return to 0 at the end. The move still only has 2 states, but the curve visits the second one and comes back. The included presets are built this way and are the fastest way to see how the shape of the curve maps to the movement on screen.

QuickCam Pro is a one time purchase of $26.90 (no subscription) and adds 20 animation presets, position control, infinite texture support, advanced depth of field, lens distortion, color correction, an advanced lens dust texture compositor, vignette, grain, chromatic aberration, a generator for the Edit page, lens dust textures, pixel textures, and a procedural pixel engine. All future updates are free for both versions. You may install it on multiple computers, but sharing or distributing it is prohibited.

- Updates are free. To update, simply download the latest version again and reinstall it.

- There is no license key and no online activation. The product is just files you install, so there is no machine limit and nothing that can deactivate.

- The tools are designed first for visual quality and output rather than raw speed, but they are all heavily optimized for fast, near real time performance.

Installation
Preparation
- 1Download and extract the 'QuickCam' package.
- 2Open DaVinci Resolve.
- 3Create a new timeline and open the Fusion page, with a composition active.
Automatic install
- 1Drag and drop the installer.lua file from the package into the Fusion nodes area and click 'OK'.
- 2Restart DaVinci Resolve.
- 3To verify installation, open the Fusion page and search for 'QuickCam' using Shift + Space.
- 4Also, go to the Edit Page and look under Effects -> sh4rk -> QuickCam to see the Edit Page version.
Manual install
- 1Open the 'content' folder in your extracted package.
- 2Copy 'quickcam_encrypted.fuse' and paste it into your Resolve Fuses folder.
- 3Copy the 'QuickCam' folder and paste it into your Resolve Macros folder.
- 4Double click the .drfx file (QuickCam.drfx or QuickCam Pro.drfx) to install Edit Page templates.
- 5If DaVinci Resolve was open, restart it.
- 6To verify installation, open the Fusion page and search for 'QuickCam' using Shift + Space.
- 7Also, go to the Edit Page and look under Effects -> sh4rk -> QuickCam to see the Edit Page version.
Notes
Using it
In DaVinci Resolve 21 you may occasionally see a minor visual glitch when first adding the effect; toggle the Input Mode to 'Custom' (and back to 'Media' if needed) to refresh the processing engine. Camera movements are not randomized; every parameter is manually controlled.
Moving from free to paid
If you build on the free version and later upgrade, you will usually need to redo that work in the paid version.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. One quirk: adding the effect can leave a visual glitch on the first frame. Flip Input Mode to 'Custom' and it clears. If you want 'Media' mode, go to 'Custom' and back again, which restarts the processing engine.

DaVinci Resolve will remain responsive at all times. Enabling all effects simultaneously may affect preview rendering speed, but final exports are always rendered at full quality and will be completely smooth.

By hand you are keyframing a transform, which takes time and takes practice. QuickCam Pro asks for a start state and an end state instead, builds the move between them, and refits it when your clip length changes. If you want to shape the motion yourself, the spline editor is there. Most of the time you will not open it.
